Pie Crust

This is my go-to pie crust for both sweet and savory pies. I’ve posted recipes for both a covered pie (2 crusts) and an open pie (1 crust).

Ingredients:

For a covered pie (2 crusts):

3 cups flour

pinch salt

1 1/2 cup + 2 TBSP butter

1 egg

1 TBSP vinegar

5 TBSP water 
For an open pie (1 crust)

1 1/2 cup flour

pinch salt

3/4 cup + 2 TBSP butter

1 egg

1.5 tsp vinegar

2 TBSP water
